Manipur Violence News: No incident of firing and arson in the last 24 hours, peace and normalcy are restored.
After the violence in Manipur, the security forces have given full force to improve the situation.
Kuldeep Singh, Security Advisor to the Manipur government, said on Saturday that peace is returning and normalcy is returning to the state after a wave of ethnic clashes and violence.
He said that there has been no incident of firing and arson in Manipur in the last 24 hours.
According to the news agency, Kuldeep Singh further said that ‘peace efforts are going on in Manipur in close coordination with the people of civil society.

In addition, joint security forces including Assam Rifles have recovered 35 weapons and 88 bombs in several operations in the last 24 hours.
A total of 140 weapons have been surrendered at various places across the state following an appeal made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his recent state visit, the state police said on Friday.
Weapons surrendered to Manipur Police include SLR 29, Carbine, AK, INSAS Rifle, INSAS LMG, .303 Rifle, and 9mm Pistol.

Police said the situation is ‘normal’ in most districts and curfew has been relaxed for 12 hours (between 5 am and 5 pm) in Imphal West, 8 hours in Imphal East and Bishnupur.
8 hours at Jiribam (between 8 am to 4 pm); 7 hours (between 5 am to 12 noon) at Thoubal and Kaking; 10 hours at Churachandpur and Chandel (between 5 am and 3 pm).
8 hours at Tengnoupal (from 6 am to 2 pm); 11 hours in Kangpokpi (from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.); and in Ferzol, curfew has been relaxed for 12 hours (from 6 am to 6 pm).
