World Athletics Championship: Murali Sreeshankar misses out on a medal, could not achieve 8 meters in the final.
Indian players were disappointed in the World Athletics Championships on Sunday. Murali Sreeshankar could not give his best in the long jump final and finished 7th overall.
He had achieved the mark of 8 meters before the final. But he could reach only 7.96 in the final. During the Federation Cup this year, he jumped up to 8.36 meters.
Not only this, but he also won gold in the national event with 8.23 meters. But he could not repeat his performance in the ongoing event in America.
