ATS raids mobile shop in Gorakhpur in Terror funding, raids have been done before.
ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) investigating Terror funding raided Golghar’s Baldev Plaza Naeem & Sons mobile shop on Tuesday morning.
The team reached Gorakhpur under the leadership of the CO started searching the shop from 10 am. The team questioned the shop owner after taking out the employees. In 2018, the ATS team also raided here.
At 10 am, the ATS team reached the Naeem & Sons mobile shop located at Baldev Plaza. He called the shop owner and opened the shop and investigated for about two hours.
The Baldev Plaza has been stirred up since the ATS raid. Most of the shopkeepers closed their shops in anticipation of the raid by the custom team.
As a precaution, the police of Crime Branch and Cantt Police were also called to Baldev Plaza. Local police officials are refusing to speak anything, saying the matter is related to national security.
ATS sealed all three shops on 25 March 2018
On 25 March 2018, the ATS detained Nasim Ahmed and Babi, sons of Malik Naeem of Naeem & Sons, a firm involved in the wholesale business of mobile phones, on suspicion of exposure to hawala business and anti-national elements.
The team raided the firm’s three establishments in the city during the day and recovered more than Rs 50 lakh cash and captured computers, hard disks, and other documents from the three establishments.
Apart from them, three other people from Khorabar and Shahpur area were arrested.
Businessmen brothers were arrested
The business brothers of the Cantt area have three shops in Anand Katra and Super Market in Kotwali area and Baldev Plaza in Golghar.
The ATS recovered cash from a shop in Anand Katra after the businessmen brothers were detained.
During the raid, Babi from the shop located at Baldev Plaza and Naseem from the Super Market was sealed after the shops were detained.
The three shops were found in search of a laptop, computer hard disk, pen drive, and documents.
