Logistics will be easily accessible to LAC

The construction of the tunnel will make it easier to reach the logistics at LAC. All the same, the people of Lahul Valley will get rid of snow captivity. Snowfall in winter and 13050 feet Una Rohtang Pass will no longer be a problem for the people of Lahul.

Along with reducing the time and distance to Elsie, the Lahul Valley, which remained cut off from the country and the world for six months a year, will now be connected throughout the year.

12 months 24 hours of work

For the last ten years, Afcon Strobeg and Smack Company were working for 12 months and 24 hours to complete this important tunnel under the supervision of BRO in the Pir Panjal mountain range at an altitude of ten thousand feet. It took almost eight years to get both ends of the tunnel.

It took three and a half years to cross just 600 meters due to leakage of the Seri drain. According to the engineers, the experience of these tunnels will be useful in the construction of the other four important tunnels to be built on the Manali-Leh National Highway.

800 million savings

It should be noted that the budget for the construction work of the Atal Tunnel was four thousand crores. But not only has the savings of 800 crores been saved by the efficient strategic change of the engineers, but that money will be used for the maintenance and betterment of the tunnel. This Atal tunnel costing about 3200 crores is ready.

The tunnel will be dedicated to the country this month

KP Purasothman, Chief Engineer, Special Engineer Medal, BRO Atal Rohtang Tunnel, said that the tunnel has been completed in 3200 crores.

BRO ADG has come to Manali to take stock of the inauguration preparations. Although the date of the inauguration is not fixed yet. But this month the tunnel will be dedicated to the country
