Cracking down on cross-border terrorism, the Center has banned two proxy organizations of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Along with this, four persons have been declared terrorists in the last four days.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have repeatedly emphasized that the Center is following a zero-tolerance policy while taking action against terrorist groups and terrorists.

On January 4, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification stating that Ejaz Ahmad Ahangar alias Abu Usman al-Kashmiri is a Kashmir-born terrorist.

It has links with Al-Qaeda and other global terrorist groups and was preparing to convert into an Islamic country in India. It has been declared a terrorist.

Ejaz Ahmed, currently based in Afghanistan, is one of the main recruiters of the Islamic State Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK). Ejaz Ahmed was born in 1974 in Srinagar.

He is a wanted terrorist in Jammu and Kashmir for the last two decades and has planned many terrorist activities in the union territory in collaboration with many terrorist organizations.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ejaz Ahmed is working towards promoting militancy in Kashmir and has started identifying Kashmiri people to include in his network.

It was appointed head of the Islamic State (IS) recruitment cell for India and was instrumental in launching an online India-centric ISIS propaganda magazine.

Center Government banned two proxy organizations of terrorist groups: The Resistance Front was banned.

On 5 January, the Ministry of Home Affairs declared The Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy organization of the Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, as a banned organization.

The Home Ministry said TRF is recruiting youth through an online medium for furthering terrorist activities, recruiting terrorists, infiltrating terrorists, and smuggling arms and narcotics from Pakistan into Jammu and Kashmir.

The year 2019, this group started as a representative of the banned organization Lashkar, it has been involved in many terrorist activities including the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
