Home Ministry bans Lashkar’s sister organization ‘The Resistance Front’, and Abu Khubayb was declared a terrorist. 

The Interior Ministry on Thursday banned the Resistance Front (TRF), a front organization of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organization, under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).

TRF is behind most of the attacks against Kashmiri scholars and migrant workers as well as security forces and civilians in Kashmir in recent years.

TRF commander Sajjad Gul has been declared a terrorist by the Indian government.

According to an announcement made Thursday, TRF has also been added to the list of banned entities along with UAPA First Schedule LeT.

The notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs indicates that the Resistance Front came into existence in 2019 as an authorized organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Lashkar-e-Taiba is a banned terrorist organization listed by serial number 5 in UAPA’s first schedule.

The organization is also involved in arms and drug trafficking: Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Home Office said Lashkar proxy groups are carrying out campaigns on internet media platforms to recruit people from J&K into terrorist organizations against the Indian state and incite the people.

The organization is also involved in cross-border arms and drug trafficking. The activities of this terrorist group undermine the national security and sovereignty of India.

A large number of lawsuits have also been filed against members and associates of the Resistance Front.

Home Ministry bans Lashkar’s sister organization: Mohammad Amin has been declared a terrorist.

In view of all its subversive activities, the Ministry of Home Affairs declared the institution a banned organization.

The government went a step further and declared Mohammad Amin, nicknamed Abu Hubaib, a terrorist in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

He is now known to be living as a lone terrorist in Pakistan. He serves as the Lashkar-e-Taiba launch commander.

He has established close relationships with overseas agencies. He has been instrumental in reviving and intensifying Lashkar’s terrorist activities in the Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir.

Khubaib was also involved in terrorist attacks, supplying arms and explosives, and financing terrorism abroad in Jammu and Kashmir.
