DRDO has successfully tested the SFDR missile. Successful test of SFDR missile, technology jointly developed by India and Russia.

Defense Research and Development Organization DRDO has successfully tested a second solid fuel ducted ramjet (SFDR) missile developed with indigenous knowledge skills from the test site LC3 at Chandipur in Baleshwar, Odisha at 11:00 am on Friday.

It is a missile propulsion technology jointly developed by India and Russia. This will help both India’s Surface to Air and Air to Air missiles perform better and increase their strike range, making them more powerful.

What is a ramjet after all

A ramjet is a form of air health jet engine that uses the forward speed of the vehicle to lower pressurize the incoming air without rotating compresses.

A ramjet-powered vehicle requires an assisted take-off, just like a rocket, which is helpful in taking it up to the speed from which it begins to generate thrust. The range of this missile ranges from 100 to 120 km.

According to the sources, the demand of the present time is that missiles equipped with state-of-the-art systems are being built all over the world.

An excellent specimen of this missile is being told that today a team of senior officials and scientists associated with Defense Research and Development Organization DRDO and ITR Interim Testing Council were present on the occasion of its test.

It is worth mentioning here that India will test many more state-of-the-art missiles in the coming days and today under the Make in India, Indian scientists are promoting their knowledge skills and Indian scientists are expressing their science and strength all over the world.

We are not less than anyone. It is worth mentioning here that in the coming days India is going to successfully test many rockets ranging from heavy missiles to small rockets built with indigenous knowledge skills. Indian scientists and DRDO have also made complete preparations for this.
