Farmers Got Support From Political Parties In Protest

Farmers got support from political parties in protest against the central government’s agricultural bill. Today, a nationwide shutdown of the Bharatiya Kisan Union is being seen against the Central Government’s Agriculture Bill along with all opposition parties across the country.

Agricultural bills have been passed from both houses of Parliament. Now just waiting for the President’s signature, but the protest does not seem to be diminishing. In Uttar Pradesh, in addition to Barabanki, Sitapur, and Rae Bareli, adjoining the capital Lucknow, farmers in western Uttar Pradesh today took to the streets with various party leaders.

Straws have been lit at many places. Despite the police being very prompt, there have been attempts to block the road in many places. Under the banner of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, farmers in western Uttar Pradesh have also taken to the road in protest against it.

Today there is a nationwide shutdown of kisans in protest against the agriculture bill. 31 organizations are joining it. Farmers’ organizations have also got support from several parties including Congress, RJD, Samajwadi Party, Akali Dal, AAP, TMC.

It has little effect in the rural areas of the state. Despite the assurances of the Modi government on this bill, the anger of the farmers is not diminishing. Opposition organizations are also united with them.

A large number of farmers are against the bill in Uttar Pradesh. Today, farmers are performing vigorously in Barabanki adjacent to Lucknow as well as in Baghpat and Mirzapur.

During this time, an attempt has also been made to burn fire on the national highway. Farmers are demonstrating at many places with road jamming. PAC personnel is also ready with an adequate number of police everywhere.

Hundreds of farmers arrived in the Tehsil in Mohanlalganj, Lucknow. All these farmers are protesting against the bill. Hundreds of farmers have blocked the Ayodhya-Lucknow highway in Barabanki. Passengers are facing a lot of trouble due to the farmer’s movement.

Long lines of vehicles are installed on both sides of the highway. Farmers allege that the Center’s agricultural bill will end the system of minimum support price and the agricultural sector will also go into the hands of big capitalists of the country. The farmers said that they will continue their fight till all the three bills are withdrawn.

In Saharanpur, along with the leaders of the Indian Farmers Union, the peasants occupied Delhi and Delhi-Dehradun NH 307 along the road. This has inflamed the hands of the police administration there.

In Sitapur, many organizations have come out against the farmer’s bill. In protest against this bill, people blocked the Sitapur Bareilly National Highway on Friday morning. Police and administration officials have reached the spot after getting information about this jam. Farmers are demonstrating there.

In Muzaffarnagar, the Bharatiya Kisan Union protested against the cane payment and farmers’ problems with the opposition to the Agriculture Bill. Workers reached the highway under the leadership of senior union officials after gathering at ten places in the district.

In the first phase, the farmer curfew is being jammed along the highway. As the day approached, the activists took a tractor-trolley to the places mentioned under the former Rananiti.

The police and the administration are also alert about the Chakki jam of Bhakiyu. Along with Khatauli, Rampur Tiraha, Titavi, etc. security arrangements have been alerted within the city as well. The PAC force is deployed.

Bhakiyu activists staged a sit-in strike at places like Baghpat, Barout, and Agarwal Mandi Tateri. Farmers took out fierce anger against the agricultural bills. At the same time, the common people are having trouble due to the jam.

The police-administration is also ready at the places where there are traffic jams. Byakuya District President Ch. Pratap Singh Gurjar said during the chakka jam at Rashtravandana Chowk in Baghpat, “Our demand is that the government should abolish the agricultural bills or the minimum support price should be added to it.”

At the same time, the farmers have demanded to reduce the price of electricity, diesel, to remove the shortage of fertilizers, to pay the sugarcane, and to waive the fees of the children of the children of schools.

In Mirzapur, the agitation was blocked at various places during the Bharat bandh to protest against the farmers’ bill. Here the farmers are marching from Bharuhna to the commissioner’s office. With this, SP workers submitted a memorandum to the DM.

In Barot of Baghpat, the Delhi bus stand has been blocked along with the Baghpat-Meerut road. After this, farmers have warned Delhi to travel to Delhi with the jamming of the Delhi-Saharanpur highway. Here the farmers shouted slogans against the central government.

The police force arrived at the scene on the information of the jam, by understanding the BKU workers and opened the jam. In Ghaziabad too, the farmers are getting support from the SP and the RLD along with the Congress. Police are on high alert here.

Farmer leader Ashu Chaudhary said that we are opposing the agriculture ordinance that the central government has brought in a hurried manner. He said that if this ordinance is in the interest of farmers, then it would have been talked to farmers before implementing it.

It was then implemented after everyone’s consent. The farmer is demanding his farmer’s commission, but this ordinance has been implemented without ignoring it. Farmers allege that this bill of the Center will end the system of minimum support price and the agricultural sector will go into the hands of big capitalists.

The farmers said that they will continue their fight till all the three bills are withdrawn. Congress termed agricultural bills against the federal structure as unconstitutional and said that these ‘black laws’ were challenged in court
