Five Ministers Including A Woman Sworn In Puducherry

Five ministers including a woman included in the NDA cabinet in Puducherry, included in the BJP government for the first time.

After a month of speculation, five new ministers comprising one woman have been included in the NDA cabinet led by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy.

At the Raj Bhavan, Lieutenant Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan addressed A. Namasivam, C. Jayakumar, Chandira Priyanga, K. Lakshminarayanan, and AK Cy J Sarwan Kumar were sworn in as ministers.

Place of a woman in the cabinet after 41 years.

Two things have happened for the first time in this cabinet of Puducherry.

For the first time, the BJP is involved in the government and after a gap of 41 years by administering oath to Chandira, a woman has got a place in the cabinet.

The portfolios of the ministers are yet to be finalized after all the ministers took oath in the name of God during a function in the presence of Chief Minister Rangasamy and others.

Lakshminarayanan, C. Jayakumar, and Priyanga are the key partners of the AINRC, and Namasivam and Saravana Kumar are members of the BJP.

This is happening for the first time that the BJP is part of the government in this union territory.

Similarly, for the first time in the history of Puducherry, after 41 years, a woman is getting a place in the cabinet.

Between 1890-83, the late Congress leader Renuka Appadurai was the last woman to become a minister in this union territory.

She had taken charge of the education department in a coalition led by MDR Ramachandran (DMK).

Congratulating PM Narendra Modi, he said that best wishes to all those who took oath as ministers in Puducherry today.

Congress MP A Revanth Reddy appointed state president of Telangana, N. Will replace Uttam Reddy.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appointed party MP A Revanth Reddy as the new state president of Telangana.

He will replace Uttam Reddy. The party president has also appointed five working presidents of the Telangana Congress, including former cricketer Muhammad Azharuddin.

Apart from this, 10 senior vice presidents have been made. “The Congress President has appointed A Revanth Reddy as the new president of Telangana Pradesh Congress,” the party said.

Prior to this, he was the working president of the Uttam Reddy-led Pradesh Congress Committee.

Apart from this, the chairman, coordinator of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee’s campaign committee, election management committee, and AICC program implementation committee have also been appointed.

The five working presidents of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, besides Muhammad Azharuddin, have also been appointed, the party said.

They are Geeta Reddy, M. Anjan Kumar Yadav, T. Jagga Reddy, and B. Mahesh Kumar Gaur.
