Five OGWs Of TRF Arrested For Attacking Kakapora Police Post

Five OGWs of TRF were arrested for attacking the Kakapora police post with grenades.

Security forces have busted a sleeper cell of The Resistance Front (TRF), synonymous with terror in Kashmir, and arrested five of its members.

This sleeper cell was involved in the grenade attack on a Kakpora police post during the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Pulwama last month.

TRF is called the hit squad of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The five arrested members of the sleeper cell are residents of Lalhar village in the Pulwama district.

Five OGWs of TRF were arrested: During the last six years, about a dozen boys from this village have become terrorists.

Sources concerned said that three days ago, two TRF terrorists Amir Bashir and Mukhtar Butt were caught in Pulwama.

Based on the clues received from them, the sleeper cell of TRF operating in Pulwama has been detected.

According to a police spokesperson, the arrested members of the sleeper cell have been identified as-

Shaukat Islam Dar, Ejaz Ahmed Lone, Ejaz Gulzar Lone, Manzoor Ahmed Butt, and Naseer Ahmed Shah.

Apart from arranging weapons for the terrorists from Pulwama to Srinagar, these five also used to carry out grenade attacks on the security forces on the instructions of their handlers.

When Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in Lethpora Pulwama on 25 October 2021, the same sleeper cell carried out the grenade attack on the police post in Kakpora.

A passenger from Rajasthan died after being hit by a train near the Jammu railway station.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Bajrang Lal son of Krishna Ram resident of Bikaner, Rajasthan.

According to eyewitnesses, Bajrang Lal was moving on the same track on which the goods train was coming. He was looking at the car but did not derail.

At the same time, the police say that the way the person has come under the grip of the train, the possibility of his suicide is coming to the fore.

The police took the dead body into custody and took it to the GMC mortuary where the police will take further action after the post-mortem.

Police have started the investigation by registering a case in this regard.
