Founder Member Of PDP and Former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K Muzaffar Hussain Baig joins People’s Conference with wife Safina Baig.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig, who was among the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), returned to the same place on Wednesday from where he started his mainstream politics.

He has joined the People’s Conference with his wife Safina Baig and supporters. Encouraged to meet him, Sajjad Gani Lone, chairman of the People’s Conference, said that I had come to ask him for my rights as a nephew.

Muzaffar Baig’s PDP President Mehbooba was not sitting with Mufti. He blamed Mehbooba many times on public forums for the abolition of Article 370.

Mehbooba also made him the party mentor to stop the revolt in the PDP. However, he left the PDP in November last year after being constantly hurt by his neglect in policy matters.

Safina was the chairperson of the PDP’s women’s unit but left the party when she was given a ticket in the District Development Council (DDC) elections.

Sajjad Gani Lone, who stayed at Baig’s house for an hour, reached Muzaffar Hussain Baig’s house on Wednesday evening with some of his special companions.

There was a meeting between the two in a short time. Baig then agreed to return to the People’s Conference.

Founder Member Of PDP: Surendra Chaudhary stepped down as PDP general secretary due to infighting.

Party President Mehbooba Mufti seems unable to stop the ongoing discord in the Peoples Democratic Party despite all efforts. On Wednesday, party general secretary Surendra Chaudhary has resigned from the due to infighting and factionalism.

For now, he will remain at the party. Former MLC Surendra Chaudhary was made party general secretary two days ago by Mehbooba Mufti.

After resigning from the post of general secretary in the evening, Surendra said that I have left the post, not just the organization. Mehbooba has been made aware of the entire situation.

If she does not resolve the issues raised by me then I will take my next step. Chaudhary is considered the face of PDP in Jammu province from 2019 onwards.

He also took the front along with senior leaders who had revolted against Mehbooba and tried to save the party’s base in Jammu province.

Chaudhary’s close acquaintances said that he was angered by Mehbooba’s inclusion in the political advisory committee to certain people.

He has been accusing these people of committing against the PDP. He had also raised this issue in Mehbooba’s visit to Jammu in the past.
