Terrorists again seen in Rawalpora of Shopian, security forces cordon the area: Jammu Kashmir.

On Wednesday, the security forces conducted a siege and search operation on the information about the hideout of militants in Rawalpora Shopian of South Kashmir Wednesday.

In Rawalpora itself, two terrorists, including Sajjad Afghani, were killed in an encounter that lasted from Saturday to Monday evening.

Local sources said that the security forces laid siege to the village around twelve in the afternoon and after that, they started searching from house to house.

It is worth mentioning that in the encounter between three days from last Saturday to Monday in Rawalpora of district Shopian of South Kashmir, the top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed Vilayat Lone alias Sajjad Afghani was killed.

The encounter, which lasted for more than 72 hours, was successful in killing two terrorists.

Earlier on Sunday, security forces killed the late Abdul Rahman Wani, the son of Jahangir Ahmad Wani of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who lived in Narapora Shopian, in this encounter.

Jahangir joined the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in September 2020.

Nawabad police have arrested a youth living in Kashmir on charges of committing a theft at the Shiva temple at the temple mosque point on the banks of the Tawi river in the middle of the city.

The accused’s photograph was captured in a CCTV camera installed in the temple. After which the police, with the help of the media, made the accused’s photo viral.

On seeing the viral photo, some people identified the accused and informed the police. Police arrested the accused from the Prem Nagar area of ​​the city.

Accused has carried out the incidents in some houses in the pond Tillo besides the temple. Police are trying to recover the stolen goods from the captured Kashmiri youth.

On Wednesday, a resident of Shiv Mandir Tawi bridge, Mohindra Kumar resident Bhadarwah lodged a complaint with the Nawabad police station that an unknown person broke the donation box of the temple and stole cash worth Rs 30,000.

Apart from this, four gold nuggets and some other items climbed on the idols have been stolen.

When the police investigated the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the temple, a picture of the youth was shown during this time.

The police identified the accused on the basis of the photograph. The accused was living in a house in the Prem Nagar area for the last few days. The stolen goods are being recovered from him.
