A CRPF spokesperson said that on a piece of specific information, the 118th Corps of CRPF along with police launched a search operation in the Sadarbagh area adjoining Ganderbal in the early hours of today.

While searching the forest, the soldiers recovered a cache of weapons hidden by the terrorists in one place.

Three grenades, two assault rifle magazines, 62 cartridges, seven SLR cartridges, 59 pistol cartridges, and five meters of Kadex wire have been found in it.

Grenade attack by terrorists: According to the information, terrorists attacked the Sherbagh police post with a grenade in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir late on Wednesday evening.

Thankfully no one was hurt by this grenade. The sound of grenade blast was heard far and wide in the area. After this incident, the terrorists fled from there.

To nab the terrorists, the police along with the Army and CRPF have launched a joint search operation in the area. However, no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

On hearing the sound of the blast, a large number of people living nearby came in panic.

The security arrangements have been further tightened at the nakas deployed in the adjoining areas. Every vehicle is being thoroughly checked.
