Karnataka Govt Is Carrying Out The Responsibility Of Family

Karnataka govt is carrying out the responsibility of the family, immersed the ashes of more than 1200 people who lost their lives from Corona.

The Karnataka govt collectively immersed the ashes of those who lost their lives due to the epidemic of Kovid-19, whose relatives did not come to collect the ashes.

As per Hindu belief, the ashes of more than 1,200 people from Bengaluru were immersed in the Kaveri river near Belakavadi in Malavalli tehsil of Mandya district.

BJP’s organization general secretary BL Santosh shared the pictures on Twitter and expressed his gratitude to Karnataka Revenue Minister R. Appreciate Ashok’s efforts.

For the first time during the global pandemic in the state, ashes immersion has been done on such a large scale.

Most of the ashes are said to have been at the open crematorium outside the city, which was started by the government when the death toll from Covid-19 was at its peak.

Despite repeated requests, no family member of the deceased came to collect the ashes, following which the government decided to immerse the ashes.

Revenue Minister R. Ashok, Mandya district in-charge minister KC Narayana Gowda and a team of priests immersed the ashes in the presence of senior officials.

Ashok said, ‘I was saddened to see the reports of bodies being dumped in the Ganges river. I did not want this to happen in our state. No body should be left unattended.

Deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners and tehsildars in every district will have to ensure that the last rites are performed. If dead bodies are burnt then their ashes should be immersed.

I will issue an order to this effect. He said that the last rites of people from other communities are being performed as per their belief.
