Kings XI Punjab,The Only Team In IPL To Have Indian Coach

Kings XI Punjab is the only team that has a home coach in the Indian Premier League, 7 out of 8 coaches overseas. The T20 tournament of the Board of Control for Cricket in India is called the Indian Premier League, but there is only one team in the team that has expressed confidence in the coach of India.

A total of eight teams play in the tournament, but out of these seven foreign coaches have been selected for the responsibility of the head coach. Kings XI Punjab is the only team whose head coach is playing an Indian.

India’s T20 League IPL is one of the most popular T20 leagues in the world. This T20 league of India was launched to further the Indian players and youth.

But the amazing thing is that on one hand, where the rules were made to make playing eleven by combining 7 Indian and 4 wicket players, then the teams were given complete freedom regarding its coaching team.

The result is that today only one Indian head coach as Anil Kumble is in the tournament.

Head coach of 7 teams are from the overseas

Of the eight teams playing in this tournament, only one coach, Anil Kumble of Kings XI Punjab is an Indian. Apart from this, former veterans of Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka are working as the head coach of seven teams.

Ricky Ponting (Delhi Capitals), Brandon McCullum (Kolkata Knight Riders), Stephen Fleming (Chennai Super Kings), Mahela Jayawardene (Mumbai Indians), Trevor Bellis (Sunrisers Hyderabad) Simon Katich (Royal Challengers Bangalore), and Andrew McDonald (Rajasthan Royals) The head coach is not an Indian.

Fleming has been working with the Chennai team for a long time, while Ponting was made the head coach of the Delhi team last year. Former opener McCullum has been named chief of the Kolkata team ahead of this season.
