KSRTC and BMTC Employees Strike;  convened by Union Leaders to DCM Lakshmana Sawadi.

KSRTC BMTC Employees Strike: In the case of Corona, we have been given four months’ salary for transport workers.

We had discussions with the CM regarding the payment of our employees. Our employees need to know this. DCM Lakshmana Sawadi has requested that the strike be withdrawn now

Transport workers who protested yesterday demanding their appointment as government employees are now on an indefinite strike.

Transport of government buses has been halted today as employees of KSRTC, BMTC, Northwest Transport and Northeast Transport Strike are on strike.

Against this backdrop, Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Laxman Sawadi have held a confidential meeting on the demand for transport employees.

Minister Laxman Sawadi, who is holding the meeting without informing the media, has kept a distance from the media about the meeting.

Minister Sawadi is holding a meeting at a government residence near Jayamahal in Bengaluru. Speaking after the meeting, he said he would call on union leaders at 12 pm and have a discussion.

I have already spoken with the authorities. Employees have called for a strike.

Transport Minister Lakshmana Sawadi, who responded to the strike by the transport workers this morning, said he would hold a meeting with the employees after a meeting of officials.

The financial situation has deteriorated since covid. In such a case every one should understand the situation. But in this case, people should not bother.

Transportation employees should sit down and discuss the demand, leaving a protesting hand. If a corporation is declared a transit corporation, then all corporations are compelled to declare it.

This poses a major challenge to the government. Thus, it is not immediately decided. You have to make a decision about this. He said he would make a sincere effort to meet the demands of the employees.

Minister Laxman Sawadi, who was addressing the public on the issue of transport workers’ protest, said there was a two-month bandh during covid. In that case the public is in a lot of trouble.

In such a case the public will have a little problem. But the public must join hands with us. Not everything can be done in one go. We will make a replacement, but people will have to cooperate.

In the case of Corona, we have been given four months’ salary for transport workers.

No salary in other states. We had discussions with the CM and paid our employees. Our employees need to know this. The government has appealed to you to withdraw the strike.

We all had to be at your house during yesterday’s session. All members were present and had to pass the bill. We had the inevitability of having to pass bills.

That’s why I was in the House yesterday. It was not a go-to place for a protest. Employees did siege work during protests.

They were arrested by the police for controlling it and to prevent further disaster and they have since been released. However, Minister Lakshmana Sawadi promised to hold discussions with them today.
