Lakhimpur Kheri Case Reaches Supreme Court

Lakhimpur Kheri case reaches Supreme Court, demand for CBI investigation under the supervision of top court.

Two lawyers have written a letter to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for a CBI probe into the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case under the supervision of the apex court.

The letter also sought to punish the ministers allegedly involved in the incident.

The letter by advocates Shiv Kumar Tripathi and CS Panda said that in view of the gravity of the killing of farmers in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, this is necessary.

This court should intervene in this matter. The lawyers claimed that violence has become a political culture in the country in recent times.

Eight people, including four farmers, were killed on Sunday in the violence during the farmers’ protest in Lakhimpur Kheri.

Lawyers said that there is a need to protect the rule of law in this violence-hit district of UP.

The letter states that the incident demands directions against the law-breaking police machinery under the administrative control of the UP government and concerned bureaucrats as well as the home ministry so that the practice of violence can be stopped.

The application can be treated as public interest litigation so that the guilty can be brought to justice.

In the letter, along with a direction to register an FIR against those involved in the incident, it has also been sought to constitute a high-level judicial inquiry committee under the supervision of the apex court.

Lakhimpur Kheri case reaches Supreme Court: Let us inform you that eight people died in this incident on Sunday. Many others were injured there.

A case has been registered on behalf of the farmers against 14 including Ashish Mishra ‘Monu’, son of the Minister of State for the killing of farmers.

At the same time, Rs 45-45 lakh has been announced by the state government to the relatives of all the eight killed and a government job to one member.

At the same time, ten lakh rupees will be given to all the injured.
