Martyrs of Jammu Kashmir: These soldiers gave sacrifices to increase the pride of the nation, now children will be proud of them.

Known as the land of terror, Jammu and Kashmir have produced thousands of warriors who sacrificed their lives on the motherland but did not let the peace and glory of the country fall short.

The brave soldiers also made many sacrifices here for the complete destruction of the bell of terror. Being a two-and-a-half-time man from the double challenge of terror.

This nation always not only walked on the principle of paramountcy but also could not miss its universal sacrifice.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration is trying to bring these anonymous stories to the fore and the stories of these heroes will also be included in the syllabus.

His relatives were also honored in Srinagar. We have brought some of these stories for you–

Martyrs of Jammu Kashmir: Lance Naik Nazir Ahmad Wani.

Nazir Ahmad Wani, a resident of the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra.

Once the ‘Ikhwan’ (former terrorist) commander, he left the path of the gun and joined the army for a change in Kashmir.

On 23 November 2018, reports of six Hizbul and LeT militants hiding in Batagund village of Shopian were reported. Wani and his team were entrusted with the task of stopping the escape route of the terrorists.

Lance Naik Wani made the biggest sacrifice, killing two terrorists and saving his wounded companion. In this encounter, all six terrorists were killed by the security forces.

Two of these were killed by Wani himself. He was badly injured in the encounter. He later succumbed during treatment. Vani was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra, the greatest award of peace.

Martyrs of Jammu Kashmir: Sub Inspector Sageer Ahmad Pathan.

Sub Inspector Sagir Ahmed Pathan alias ‘Qazi’ was one of the five security personnel martyred during the encounter with militants on 2 May 2020 at Handwara in Kupwara district.

Pathan was part of the team that rescued the people held hostage in a house. Civilians were rescued in this action, but other members of the team including Pathan were martyred in the encounter with terrorists.

Pathan started his job as a police constable in 1999 and in 2006 joined the Special Squad (SOG) formed to fight terrorism.

He was promoted three times for his bravery out of the normal process and became a sub-inspector of constables. Apart from this, many were honored at the state level.

Major Sushil Aima.

On 1 August 1999, led by Kashmir-born Major Sushil Aima, he himself killed three terrorists in a face-to-face battle, thwarting the Pakistani plot.

The next morning he was about to go on a holiday and he came to know that a large number of terrorists were plotting to attack a village on the hill.

He immediately launched a search operation and was soon confronted by the terrorists. A total of five Pakistani terrorists were killed after a fierce struggle. Major Sushil Aima was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra.

Martyrs of Jammu Kashmir: Nb Subedar Chunni Lal.

Born in Bhadarwah district, Naib Subedar Chunni Lal contributed greatly to the victory of the army by his valor on the fronts from Siachen to Poonch and caused considerable damage to the enemy.

In 1984, he joined the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. In 1987, he rescued a Pakistani garrison outpost led by Bana Singh for possession of Bana Post.

He was then instrumental in thwarting the major plot of infiltration in Poonch in 1999. For this, he was awarded the Veer Chakra. 12 Pakistani intruders were killed in this incident.

On 24 June 2007, thwarting Pakistani infiltration in Kupwara, three well-known terrorists were killed by his team.

During this, he rescued the injured soldiers and he was badly injured while wiping out the last terrorist. He was posthumously awarded the Ashoka Chakra for his bravery.

Rifleman Abdul Hameed.

Born in the Kupwara district, Abdul Hameed was full of patriotism since childhood. However, as a child, he saw the rise of terror in Kashmir and also did not fear the threats on the face of it.

At the age of 14, al-Badr militants kidnapped him and forced him to take up arms, but Abdul managed to trick him.

After that, he started serving in the Jammu and Kashmir Police and was involved in several operations in the Special Operations Group.

The terrorists threatened his family and also attacked him with an IED but he survived. The terrorists got angry at his family and killed his father. He then joined the army.

On 12 June 2007, in Kupwara, his team was informed about the activism of the terrorists.

He not only stopped the fleeing terrorists and fired and killed Lashkar district commander Musa. However, during this time he also had a lot of injuries
