Muslim Girls Arrived Wearing Burqa In Colleges Of Karnataka

Muslim girls arrived wearing burqa after the college opened in Karnataka, security forces were deployed in large numbers for the fear of dispute.

When the Pre-University College and Degree College opened in Karnataka on Wednesday, the hijab controversy was seen reaching the burqa.

In many districts, a large number of Muslim girls wearing burqa reached the college, although no one was allowed inside.

The state government has made it clear that everyone will have to follow the interim order of the court and now no leniency will be taken in this matter.

However, on the first day, classes went on as normal except for a few incidents.

However, the girls who reached the High Court demanding to wear the hijab did not reach the college.

Deployment of security forces in large numbers.

In view of the controversy, security arrangements were beefed up outside pre-university colleges in all sensitive areas and a large number of police personnel were deployed.

Section 144 has also been imposed in many districts.

In various government pre-university colleges in Udupi, Shivamogga, Bijapur, Kalaburagi, and Yadgir districts, some girl students came wearing burqa instead of hijab and remained adamant about going to class.

The matter of hijab is far away, she was not ready to remove the burqa. The girl students were not allowed to enter the college wearing a burqa anywhere.

Rudra Gowda, principal of Udupi’s Government PU College, said that the five girl students who have filed a petition in the High Court did not come to the college.

Even in Kundapur of the district, 23 girl students did not reach the college. Last week, she was made to sit in a separate class for insisting on wearing a hijab.

More importance of faith for girl students.

Refusal to obey the government order, the girl students who were stopped from going to the college wearing a burqa in Shivamogga said that their faith is more important to them than the government order.

She said that she would not go to college by taking off her burqa at any cost.

Follow court orders.

State Home Minister Arga Gyanendra urged all the students to follow the order of the High Court. He said that the students would be allowed to go to the college only in the prescribed dress.

Strict action will be taken against those who do not follow the order. At the same time, Education Minister BC Nagesh requested the students to go to class and focus on their studies.

There is no dress code in the degree college, so students were allowed to wear clothes of their choice.

Congress workers detained.

In the capital city of Bengaluru, police detained several Congress workers for inciting girl students to wear hijab and burqa to college in Malleswaram.

The police first warned them, but Congress workers started asking police to show the court order, after which they were taken into custody.
