Prithvi Shaw Scored 6 Consecutive Fours In The IPL

Prithvi Shaw scored 6 consecutive fours in the first over against Kolkata, created history: IPL 2021.

In the 25th match of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League, the Delhi Capitals team faced the Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata batting first scored a score of 154 runs.

The Delhi opener made history in the first over, batting stormy. Prithvi Shaw started off with 6 fours off 6 consecutive balls.

Delhi captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first against Kolkata. In 20 overs, the team scored 154 runs at the loss of 6 wickets.

Andre Russell, scoring 43 runs off 27 balls, led the team to this respectable score. The Delhi opener, who came out to bat in response, did something in the first over which created history.

Prithvi Shaw, who came to the beginning of the innings against Kolkata, scored 25 runs in the first over of Shimav Mavi. In this over, he hit 6 fours in 6 consecutive balls.

In any season, he became the first batsman to score four six-ball fours in the very first over of an innings. Shivam Mavi’s first ball was wide after this, Prithvi sent the costar 6 ball across the boundary for fours.

Prithvi became the second batsman in the IPL to send every ball of a bowler’s over for fours. Earlier in 2012, Ajinkya Rahane hit fours off every ball in an over against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In 2021, Prithvi did the same against Kolkata. With this, Prithvi also scored the fastest half-century in the 14th season of IPL.

He is second in joint form with Rishabh Pant in terms of scoring the fastest half-century for Delhi in the history of the tournament by scoring 50 off 18 balls.

KKR captain Eoin Morgan disappointed by the defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals, gave this statement.

IPL 2021: Delhi Capitals got their fifth win in the 14th season of IPL. Delhi team defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets. This is KKR’s fifth defeat in IPL this season.

Kolkata captain Eoin Morgan is disappointed with this defeat and he has told what mistakes KKR made against the Delhi Capitals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, due to which the team lost.
