Three Youths From Kashmir Were Going To POK

Three youths from Kashmir were going to POK to become terrorists arrested from Uri: Jammu Kashmir.

Police have caught three youths going to POK to become terrorists in the Uri sector of North Kashmir on time. All three will be handed over to their families after questioning and counseling.

The police spokesperson said that these three youths in the age group of 26-28 years are from the Kupwara district. Their names are Majid Rakib Kanshi, Wasim Ahmed Khan, and Ghulam Mustafa Ahangar.

All three were in constant contact with a patron of terrorists on the internet media through an app. He had prepared these three to be admitted to the terrorist organization.

He had told these three youths that they should reach POK and take arms training there. He asked these three to reach Uri town in the Baramulla district.

In Uri, he had to tell them the place from where these people would cross the LoC without any difficulty and would enter the Pak-Occupied-Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the police came to know from their system that some youths are on their way to Ghulam Kashmir to become terrorists through Uri.

Based on this, the vigil was increased on all the routes within Uri town and towards LOC. Police in Uri Bazar saw three youths suspicious in a Maruti car JK01M-0371.

Police took him into custody for questioning at the same time. During questioning, they was unable to give a satisfactory answer to any question.

They were constantly changing their statement about their  motive for coming to Uri from Kupwara but soon he broke down and told the whole story.

The spokesman said that these three youths have no prior criminal record. They are being provided counseling. Their parents have also been informed.

The necessary legal formalities will be completed and handed over to their relatives.

Crime Branch Jammu has rejected the anticipatory bail application of the accused who cheated in the name of granting a visa to Canada.

The accused Daljit Singh resident Mohali presented the bail application before the First Additional Sessions, Judge Jammu.

In view of his arrest in the case of cheating of more than Rs 4 lakh 60 thousand on which the Crime Branch presented its objections which were accepted by the court.
