Real Madrid kept the pressure on Atlético Madrid after beating Granada 4–1 in the Spanish Football League La Liga.

Luka Modric and Rodrigo scored in the first half while varo Odirjola and Karim Begenma scored goals in the second half to keep Real Madrid in the title race.

Real Madrid is now only two points behind Atletico. Atletico beat Real Sociedad 2–1 on Wednesday.

Atletico has 80 points from 36 matches, while Real Madrid has 78 points from the same number of matches. Now that there are only two rounds of matches left, Barcelona also remains in the race for the title.

Barcelona has 76 points from 36 matches. Barcelona had a 3–3 draw from Levante on Tuesday. Fourth-ranked team Stevia (74 from 36 matches) is also not far behind.

In other matches, Villarreal retained hopes of a place in the Europa League by defeating Valladolid 2–0. Sixth-ranked Real Betis played a 1–1 draw from Eiber.

Liverpool’s hopes of reaching the Champions League remain intact.

With two goals from Roberto Fí Mano, Liverpool raised their hopes of a place in the UEFA Champions League by defeating Manchester United 4–2 in the English Premier League (EPL).

Acting captain Bruno Fernandes gave United the lead in the 10th minute but Diego Jota scored an equalizer goal in the 34th minute.

Fermino then scored in the first half’s injury-time and then in the 72nd second of the second half to give Liverpool a 3–1 lead.

Marcus Rashford scored United’s second goal in the 68th minute but Muhammad Salah scored Liverpool’s fourth goal in the 90th minute to ensure United’s sixth defeat this season at home.

The win puts Liverpool 60 points from 35 matches and four points behind number four Chelsea. Chelsea has played one match more than that though. United has 70 points from 36 matches and is in second place.
