The Deteriorating Situation In Kashmir Due To Target Killings

The deteriorating situation in Kashmir, terrorists are bent on selectively targeting minorities.

After the murder of bank manager Vijay Kumar in the Kulgam district of Kashmir, not only Kashmiri Hindus but also other non-Muslims are at risk of an exodus from the valley.

In the manner in which Vijay Kumar, a resident of Rajasthan, was shot after entering the bank.

It is clear that the terrorists are intent on selectively targeting the minorities – whether they are Kashmiri Hindus or those people, who do business or jobs. In connection with the stay in the valley.

It should be noted that Rajni Bala, a Dalit Hindu teacher, was murdered in the same Kulgam district on Tuesday. His family was living in Jammu after migrating from the Valley in 1990.

A few years back, he got a job in Kulgam under a special package from the central government. The terrorists entered his school and shot him.

Earlier, in a similar manner, Tehsil employee Rahul Bhatt was murdered in Budgam.

Since the targeted killings of Kashmiri Hindus have intensified since October last year, it is natural for them to be apprehensive.

After the murder of Rahul Bhatt and then Rajni Bala, the way many Kashmiri Hindus working in the Valley have come to Jammu in fear is a matter of serious concern.

In the midst of attempts to resettle Kashmiri Hindus in the valley, it is not right to create such a situation in the valley that the remaining Kashmiri Hindus are forced to migrate there.

Even though the Jammu and Kashmir administration is giving assurances to Kashmiri Hindus, it will not have much effect because they continue to be selectively targeted.

Due to this, the scale of their patience is spilling. It is true that terrorists targeting Kashmiri Hindus are being searched and killed.

But it should be understood that if they keep on killing Kashmiri Hindus like this, then it will be difficult for them to stay there.

All the more so because the political parties that talk of so-called Kashmiriyat are fulfilling their duty by ritually condemning the killings of Kashmiri Hindus.

After all, what kind of Kashmiriyat is this, which along with the Hindus of the Valley has become the enemy of the life of every Kashmiri who talks about India?

The question is also why is the strategy of killing terrorists not being adopted before committing the crime?

If the deteriorating situation in Kashmir is to be handled, then along with the terrorists, those who give them shelter and support will have to be ruthlessly crushed.
