SOG jawan Amjid Ahmed was injured in the police camp while a terrorist was being taken to court in the Tral area of ​​South Kashmir’s district Pulwama.

The terrorist snatched SOG jawan’s weapon and had gone hiding in the camp, but he was gunned down by the security forces in the early hours today.

Before killing the militant, he was asked to surrender several times by security forces but he did not agree.

At around 4 am, he was finally killed in an encounter by the security forces. The slain terrorist has been identified as Mohammad Amin Malik a resident of Nagbal Machma.

Police said that a few days ago, Mohammad Amin Malik was taken into custody by the police for questioning.

Actually, Amin himself is a surrendered terrorist and his brother Shabbir Malik has also been a terrorist, who was a terrorist associated with Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind led by Zakir Musa.

He too was killed by the security forces during an encounter in 2019. The security forces suspected that Mohammad Amin Malik was helping the terrorists.

In order to further the process of interrogation, the police were preparing to take him from the police camp to the court along with the SOG soldiers, during that time he snatched the gun of a SOG jawan and injured him, and hid in the generator room in the camp.

The SOG men repeatedly asked Amin to surrender even after his comrade was injured. This was the reason that the encounter continued till morning.

Meanwhile, the security forces also brought Amin’s family members to the camp. They also persuaded him several times to surrender but he turned down the offers.

Meanwhile, the exchange of fire between the terrorists and the security forces continued for several hours.

The terrorist was gunned down around 4 am after which the security forces took his body in their possession. Police said Mohammad Amin, also a Pakistani-trained terrorist, had surrendered earlier.
