According to the information, the encounter started in South Kashmir’s Sugan (Shopian) on Tuesday, when the terrorists opened fire when they saw the search personnel coming towards their hideout. The soldiers also fired back on it.
The security forces also closed all avenues for the terrorists and asked them to surrender, but the terrorists kept firing. The encounter continued till late at night. Officials said on Wednesday morning that the operation was still on, killing two militants.
A joint task force of army, police, and CRPF conducted a search operation in Sugan village of Shopian late in the evening. Two to three terrorists were reported to be hiding in the village. To avoid the siege of the soldiers, the terrorists tried to escape while firing, but the soldiers thwarted it.
With this, the encounter started. The jawans have evacuated the people trapped in the houses and terrorist hideouts around the encounter site to a safe place between the firing. The army has also appealed to the local people to ask the terrorists to surrender.
Pakistan set fire to the Line of Control to clear the way for terrorists
It is being told that the Pakistan Army opened fire on three sectors of Poonch district on Tuesday to divert the attention of Indian Army personnel and clear the way for infiltration of terrorists and disturbance along the Line of Control.
In many areas of Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir, fires of grass and dried leaves have spread far enough in Mendhar, Balakot, and Mankot sectors. It could not be controlled until late at night.
The landmines laid near the Line of Control by fire have been continuously exploding. These tunnels have been laid by the Indian Army to prevent the infiltration of terrorists.
By late evening, more than 50 landmines had exploded. Pakistani troops opened fire on dry grass and leaves in their area on Tuesday morning. The fire was set in such a way that it could easily reach the Indian territory even in a light breeze and it happened.
In a very short time, it spread to a much larger area of Mendhar, Balakot, and Mankot sectors of Poonch district. It also engulfed the landmines laid along the Line of Control. Landmines are constantly bursting.
Fire is not under the control
As soon as the fire broke out, Indian Army personnel were activated to extinguish it. Jawans along with fire brigade employees are also extinguishing the fire. The fire could not be controlled till late in the night.
The fire is spreading continuously by engulfing grass and leaves. People living in villages near the Line of Control are also helping to control the fire. Significantly, such incidents of fire have been done by the Pakistan Army even before.
It’s part of the conspiracy
The fire near the Line of Control is part of the Pakistani Army’s conspiracy. Pakistan wants more and more militants to infiltrate Kashmir before the snowfall starts. After infiltrating the landmines of Indian territory are dangerous for the terrorists.
The Pakistani army has set this fire for the purpose of clearing the way for the terrorists. When landmines explode, there will be no danger hidden in the ground for the terrorists.
Night firing in the Hiranagar sector
According to the information, Pakistani Rangers opened fire on Monday night in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district with a view to spoil the atmosphere on the international border.
The Pakistani Rangers opened fire in the villages Gujjar Chak, Chak Changa, Chantanda, Karol Krishna Karol Matharians, Karol Viddo, Ladwal. It continued intermittently till ten in the morning on Tuesday. 19 BSF battalion personnel have given a befitting reply to the shelling.
