After the demonetization in the year 2016, now the central government has taken a big decision regarding the 2000 rupee note.

The central government is now putting 2000 rupee notes out of circulation. Giving information, the Reserve Bank has told that its legal tender will remain, but it will be taken out of circulation.

If you also have 2000 rupee notes lying with you, then you can get it changed in the bank by 30 September.

RBI has advised all the banks of the country that the issuance of Rs 2000 notes will be stopped with immediate effect. RBI has taken this decision under the Clean Note Policy.

20,000 rupees can be changed in one go.

According to RBI, after May 23, 2023, you can change notes up to a maximum of Rs 20,000. RBI has taken this decision so that other work of the bank is not affected.
