NIA Raid: NIA action against terrorists and gangsters, raided more than 100 places in 6 states

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is carrying out a major operation to break the back of the gangster-terrorist nexus across the country.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting raids at 100 locations across the country in terrorism-drug smugglers-gangster nexus cases.

Currently, raids are going on in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh. NIA is conducting raids at more than 100 places in these states.

NIA Raid: NIA action against terrorists and gangsters: Apart from Moga in Punjab, the NIA team has also reached Nihal Singh Wala Talwandi Bhangeria.

The NIA, along with state police forces, carried out raids at the premises and other places linked to the suspects since early Wednesday. The raid is still on.

The raids are being conducted in connection with three separate cases – RC 37, 38, 39/2022/NIA/DLI – registered by the NIA last year.

The attacker of Punjab Police Headquarters was arrested.

Deepak Ranga, a suspect in the RPG attack on the Punjab Police’s intelligence headquarters in Mohali in May 2022, was arrested from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh on January 25 this year.

He was a close associate of Canada-based gangster-turned-terrorist Lakhbir Singh Sandhu alias Landa and Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist Harvinder Singh Sandhu alias Rinda.

Apart from his involvement in the RPG attack, Deepak has been involved in several other violent terrorist and criminal offenses, including murders.

He was actively receiving terror funds from Rinda and Landa.
