India will not shy away from raising voice against terrorism: TS Trimurti said in the United Nations.

India will not shy away from raising its voice against the enemies of humanity like terrorism. TS Trimurti, India’s permanent representative to the UN Security Council, said this on Monday.

He was addressing a special function organized at the Security Council for the flag-raising of five temporary member countries, including India.

Along with India, flags of Norway, Kenya, Ireland, and Mexico have also been placed in the Security Council. On this occasion, Trimurti said, ‘India has joined the Security Council for the eighth time.

It is an honor for me to participate in today’s flag-raising ceremony as a permanent representative of India.

India will use its term for a human-centered and inclusive solution in matters of international peace and security and will become the voice of developing countries. ‘

He said that India will work with the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

He further said that we will draw the attention of the 15-member council on issues like peacekeeping, peacebuilding, maritime security, women and youth, especially the circumstances of the conflict.

India and the new members will be part of the Security Council with temporary members Estonia, Niger, St. Vincent and Granada, Tunisia, Vietnam, and five permanent members China, France, Russia, Britain, and the United States.

India will be President of the Security Council in 2021

India will head the United Nations Security Council in August 2021 and then chair the council for a month in 2022.
