Terrorist Hassan went to many places in south & eastern India, revealed in NIA investigation. The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which thwarted the Al Qaeda plot to terrorize the country, told a Kerala court that the main accused in the case, Murshid Hassan, had gone to several places in the south and eastern India.

Terrorist Hassan was heavily influenced by the violent ideology of Al Qaeda.

The NIA told the Ernakulam First Class Judicial Magistrate-II that it had received reliable information that some of the suspects were mobilizing the youth in their gangs along with collecting funds to carry out terrorist incidents in the country.

The NIA has said that apart from the arrested suspects, many people are involved in conspiring to carry out terrorist incidents in the country. The agency said that the arrested accused have to be produced in a special court in Delhi and demanded transit remand.

After this, the court granted the demand of NIA and sent all the accused to transit remand. Significantly, the NIA arrested nine of its suspected terrorists, thwarting al Qaeda’s plan to establish its base in India.

The NIA arrested them on the night of 18-19 September in Ernakulam, Kerala, and Murshidabad in Bengal. Of these, three including Murshid Hassan were arrested from Ernakulam and the rest from Murshidabad.

Meanwhile, Chief Mamata Banerjee has given the responsibility of turning the other backward caste (OBC) people of Junglemahal in their ranks from Chhatradhar Mahato, a Maoist leader to the leader of the ruling Trinamool Congress of Bengal.

The Trinamool chief has asked him to mobilize the backward castes to strengthen the position of the Trinamool Congress in the Maoist-affected Junglemahal. Chhatradhar Mahato belongs to the Kurmi community and has 35 percent voters of this caste in the Junglemahal area of ​​the state.

Voters of this caste can play a decisive role in Jhagram, West Midnapore, Purulia, and parts of the Bankura district, which went to the BJP camp in the last Lok Sabha elections in next year’s state assembly elections.

Chhatradhar Mahats said that they are visiting remote areas of the whole region and interacting with common people. They are assessing what people have done to change their political loyalty.
