Violence erupted again in Manipur, 9 people died in rapid firing; 10 injured: Manipur Violence.

Violence is not stopping in Manipur. Even after a month and a half, the situation is not improving. Violence again broke out in the state late on Tuesday night.

There has been tremendous firing during the violence. 9 people have died due to bullet injuries.

Apart from this, 10 people have also been injured. The victims have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.

The attackers were armed with sophisticated weapons.

SP’s Shivkanta Singh told that there was a firing in the capital Imphal at around 1 am last night. Nine people have died in the prolonged firing incident.

Along with this, 10 people have also been injured. Militants armed with sophisticated weapons surrounded and attacked villagers in the Khamelok area bordering Imphal East district and Kangpoki district, police said.

He said that the injured had been admitted to the hospital in Imphal.

Reduced curfew relaxation.

The area where the violence took place is Meitei-dominated. Police said that some people were trying to build bunkers near Meitei areas when the security forces challenged them.

During this, there was firing from both sides. Meanwhile, the district authorities have reduced the curfew relaxation time from 5 am to 6 pm in Imphal East and Imphal West to 5 am to 9 am.

Thousands of weapons were recovered.

Earlier, 1,040 weapons were recovered as part of the operation carried out in Manipur. These weapons were looted by the miscreants from different places in the past.
